In 1861 census as Edward Croucher aged 12, and living with his parents, three brothers (Henry, James and William), and three sisters (Elizabeth, Julia and Mary) at Cowleaze, Kingston, Surrey.

I cannot find an entry in the 1871 census or 1881 census.

In the 1891 census as Edward Cranker (sic - in the index, the original is illegible) aged 40, born in Walworth (sic), Hertfordshire, employed as a grocer, and living with his wife, four sons (Ernest, Lew, Mark and Rebecca - sic) and two daughters (Edith and Elizabeth A), his parents and sister (Agnew) at 54 Cambridge Grove Road, Kingston.

Death of Edward Croucher in FreeBMD in July-September 1894 in Kingston (2a 163) aged 43.

Pauline Biggs has an entry in Ancestry for Edward Coucher born about 1849, parents Henry Croucher and Elizabeth Hollingdale, his marriage in December 1881 to Elizabeth Ann Hollingdale, and his death on 28 July 1894 in Kingston.

The following information comes from Pauline Biggs (private communication): Edward Croucher born about 1849, married Elizabeth Ann Hollingdale in December 1881 in Kingston, and died 28 July 1894 at Kingston Surrey and was buried on 1 August 1894 at Bonner Hill Cemetery, Kingston in grave D1050 aged 43. He was a witness at the marriage of his sister Ada Croucher to George Guyton on 7 April 1890 at Norbiton. His children were Agnes, Daisy Ann, Edith, Ernest Edward, Florence, John William, Levi, Mark, and Ruben.


Edward Croucher was the uncle of Frederick George Croucher, husband of Mary Ann Fullick, my fourth cousin once removed.
