Notes

In the 1841 census as Elizth Crouchor aged 5, born in Middlesex, and living with George and Elizth (parents?), Louisa (sister?) and Sarah Ashman (aged 35, not born in Middlesex and employed as a female servant) at 44 Upper Berkeley Street, Marylebone, Middlesex (shared with several other families). Note that her mother's name is given as Mary in all the following entries and I cannot find an entry for the death of Elizabeth Croucher and the remarriage of George to Mary, and the ages do tie up so I assume that there is an error in this entry.

In the 1851 census as Elizabeth Croucher aged 15, born in Marylebone, London, and living with her parents (George and Mary), brother (George) and sister (Louisa), at Surbiton Hill, Kingston upon Thames, Kent (sic - in the index).

In the 1861 census as Elizth Croucher aged 24, born in Marylebone. London, unmarried, no stated employment, and living with her parents (George and Mary), brother (George), sister (Louisa) and a visitor (Benson Wm Clegg, aged 37, born in Scotland unmarried and a merchant and manufacturer of cooton goods) at Ewell Road, Kingston , Surrey.

I cannot find an entry in the 1871 census.

Her mother died in 1878

In the 1881 census as Elizabeth Croucher aged 45, born in Marylebone, Middlesex, unmarried, no stated employment and living with her father (George), brother (George), sister (Louisa), a servant Mary Chandler (aged 17, born in Cambridge and unmarried) and a lodger George Withers (aged 77, born in Romsey, and a wiidower) at Poplar Villa, Ewell Road, Kingston On Thames.

Her father died in 1883

In the 1891 census as Elizabeth Crowdus (sic - in index, correct on the original), aged 50 (about 5 years too young), born in London, Middlesex, unmarried, living on her own means with her sister (Louisa) and Julia Cruell (aged 16, born in Surbiton and employed as a general servant) at Poplar Villa, Ewell Road, Surbiton, Kingston.

Her sister died in 1900

In the 1901 census as Elizabeth Croucher aged 60 (about 5 years too young), born in St Marylebone, London, unmarried, living on her own means, at 59 Tanfield Road, Norbiton St Peter, Kingston On Thames.

Death of Elizabeth Croucher in FreeBMD in October-December 1902 aged 66 in Kingston (2a 223).
