Christening of John Croucher in the IGI on 21 June 1685 in Eastdean Near Chichester, Sussex, parents Henry and Katharine Croucher.

Marriage of John Crowcher and Mary Glover in the IGI on 10 April 1710 in Woolbeding, Sussex. There are also six submitted entries: John Croucher on 8 April 1810 in Selsey, three more adding Mary Glover as his wife and the marriage in Singleton, and another just in Sussex.

There is an entry in the Sussex Family History Group for an Archdeaconry of Chichester Marriage Licence dated 8 April 1710 for John Croucher, yeoman and Mary Glover, a spinster of Singleton, and another for the marriage of John Crowcher of Barnham and Mary Glover of Singleton at Woolbeding, Sussex.

In the IGI as the father of the children, all of whom were born in Barnham. I cannot find an entry for the christening of Catherine, but only for her burial.

There is an entry in Access to Archives dated 18 October 1721 "A messuage, with several closes of arable and meadow belonging, viz. a close containing 4a., abutting S. on the highway leading from Charleton to Eastdeane, and E. on lands formerly of John Tickner, and W. on lands formerly of Widow Aylwin; 6a. of arable called the West Field [no details]; 1a. of meadow between the lane leading from Charleton to Eastdeane on the N., and the meadow formerly of Widow Aylwin on the W., and the lands formerly in the occupation of John Croucher on the S.; and the 'new inclosed ground' containing 17a., formerly part of South Down; all property in the parish of Singleton, late in the occupation of Thos. Strickland, esq., or John Baines". I assume John lived in Singleton which is only a mile from East Dean and this was how he knew Mary, but had moved south to Barnham which is 11 miles SE of Singleton. Woolbeding is some 8 miles north of Singleton.

Entry in FamilyHistoryOnline Sussex Burials for John Croucher in 1744 at Barnham St. Mary.
