Birth: Before 1275 Hambledon?, Surrey, UK
Death: After 1305
Alice atte Cruch' (b1290-1305/19)
From SN4086 Peasant Land Market in Southern England, 1260-1350:
1305 Hambledon, Surrey: Alice atte Cruch' paid 3/4d for a messuage and half a virgate following the surrender by the previous holder William Waltere - I assume Alice was Walter atte Cruch's daughter and she was reclaiming the property.
1319 Hambledon, Surrey: Thomas Jolyf (Jolliff) paid 10/- for the surrender of a messuage and half virgate in Hameldon' previously owned by Alice atte Cruch'.
A messuage was a dwelling house and legal rights such as access to commons etc.
A virgate in the Farnham Manor was about 32 modern acres.
