I assume he was not born in Froyle because there is no entry for a Croucher before 1698 when his daughter Elizabeth was christened although records go back to the 1650s.
His son William was born in Alton, Thomas in Holybourne, and the remainder in Froyle. His name is spelt Crowcher and his wife Catharin for the christening of William, his wife is spelt Katherine for the christening of Thomas, and Tho as the father of John.
