1332 Downton, Wiltshire: Elias atte Crouche paid 3/4d for the marriage within of his daughter Isabella Crouch.
1332 Downton, Wiltshire: Elias atte Crouche paid 12d for the marriage within of his daughter Matilda Crouch.
1340 Downton, Wiltshire: Elias atte Crouche de Wyke paid 2/- for the marriage within of his daughter Christina Crouch.
1345 Downton, Wiltshire: John atte Crouche, son of Elias, paid 2/- to be able to dwell and serve outside the lord's liberty as long as it pleases the lord and come to the 2 law-days for the year and remain the lord's villein as before.
1349 Downton, Wiltshire: William atte Crouche paid 53/4d for a messuage and virgate of villein land in Wyke (Wick) previously owned by his father Elias.

A messuage is a dwelling house and legal rights such as access to commons etc.
A villein was a feudal tenant entirely subject to a lord or manor to whom he paid dues and services in return for land.
