1330 Bentley, Hampshire: John atte Croche paid 13/4d for message and virgate in Benetlye previously held by his father, Robert atte Croche. John came in full court and conceded the said messuage and virgate to William [de Hatton'] for 10 years beginning at Michaelmas in the eighth year of Bishop John [Stratford] [1330], and William will pay the rent and services owed and accustomed to the chief lord for the tenement for the said 10 years.
